This gorgeous lakeside tented wedding day took place at the Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa and if you think it can get any more glamorous than white tented ceremonies and sunlit hydrangeas, well, you’re wrong. Matt & Larissa moved out west together because they both were craving adventure and love the wilderness that Washington has to offer, and felt their wedding weekend would be the perfect opportunity to show their loved ones a place that is so special to them. This couple, these good friends, and this day were truly beautiful and I knew that it needed to be on the blog!

Getting Ready

Some soft moments from the gorgeous lakeside hotel that sits just above this stunning venue. L & M were both anxious to get to first look and get to see one another on their day.

First Look

This was a very private and emotional first look for L & M. I always try to choose locations that are beautiful but also quiet and private so that the couple can really take each other in and show up authentically in the moment. They chose to also share private vows during this time, and i adore when couples do this! for anyone who dreads public speaking, or maybe fears they will be too emotional and not able to read vows during ceremony, I highly recommend private vows beforehand. They are even more personal when shared between the two of you.

All things classy and demure for these two, and we walked all around their venue because with views like these you don’t need to travel – my very favorite kind of day!

Ceremony

Guests sipped champagne, wrote love notes in the guest book, and listened to a gorgeous string quartet while they found their seats for ceremony inside this grand white tent beside the lake. L & M were excited to get married in a place that is so special to them and for the opportunity to show off the beauty of Washington to their families, who are both from the east coast.

Cocktail Hour

L & M signing their marriage license (yay!!) while their families and officiant bore witness. And then it was off to mingle and sip their signature margaritas at cocktail hour.

Reception

during cocktail hour their ceremony space was flipped into reception with long, family style seating, white roses + candles + custom nameplates for their stunning tables. Champagne toasts and happy tears while they ate, cut their cake, and watched the sun slowly dip behind the water.

Sunset Portraits

we ran down to the docks for a few moments alone during reception and got to take in Washington’s gorgeous summer sunsets.

Dance Floor

Macaroons, a late night latte cart, and soooo much Chappell Roan. Oh and the cutest outfit change! I love a good dance floor and this was one for the books!
